Bradford City Community Foundation's FDP was founded in May 2016 with the idea of bridging the gap between grassroots and Academy Football. Initially, the centre started with a small group of players aged 7-16; it has since grown to 80+ players on a weekly basis across all age groups.
We have two development squads for the U9-16s bracket which serve as a pathway to the club's Academy. These development squads focus on the individual development of each and every player, ensuring all decisions that are made are done so with the best interests of the individual in mind. Every player is provided with two reviews per season, allowing them and the coaches to understand and focus on area of their game that need improving.
The Development Squad train once a week, and play competitive games twice a month. This is a fantastic opportunity for players to train in line with professional standards. We also reward our best players within this squad the unique opportunity to train with our more advanced players in the Elite Development Squad.
Elite Development Squad
Our Elite Development Squad train twice a week, and play competitive games in the Junior Premiere League weekly as well as additional ad hoc fixtures against Professional Club Academies and similiar Elite Development Squads. These are our most advanced non-academic players, who have a clear pathway onto the club's Academy if they are a success.
Each Friday, the players meet at Southfield Grange Sports Centre (Grange Technology College), for only £6.50 per session. The times for each range range are as followed:
U8's - 18:00 - 19:00 PM
U10's - 18:00 - 19:00 PM
