Lizzie Saunderson-Trowell, Bradford City FC Community Foundation COO, said: “Tackling food poverty is a key focus of ours here at the Foundation, and we are delighted to be working with Rackets Cubed to make a difference in Bradford and the wider district. Following their expert guidance and national model, our new Community Partnership Hub will prove to be a regular fixture in families’ weekly lives, and establish itself as a safe, welcoming, nourishing place for people to visit, and access the support they need. Together, we hope to face the challenges of food poverty, battle the stigma attached to it, and support the most vulnerable members of our community.”

The Community Partnership Hub will offer families the opportunity to shop affordably, paying £4 for some £40/50 worth of food. In addition, on offer will be a range of activities, support and services as well as fun games and activities for families to enjoy in a safe, warm space.

Justine Herbert, Rackets Cubed CEO, said: “Community Partnership Hubs provide vital support for children and families bringing together access to food, services and support at the heart of the community. Partnering with Bradford City FC Community Foundation at the City Hub gives us a fantastic opportunity to embed our work locally, strengthen relationships with schools in the area, and reach families who will benefit most. By working together, we can support children to be happier, healthier and more confident.”
