Eldwick Autos partner with Foundation to sponsor Football and Education Programme

Bradford City FC Community Foundation is delighted to announce local business Eldwick Autos has become a sponsor for its Football and Education Programme.

The company, which has been offering car repairs, services and maintenance in the area for over 30 years, has pledged a donation which will be used to supply F&E students with valuable kit during their weekly training, playing and studying responsibilities.

Eldwick Autos Director Liam Watson, whose son Callum is a student on the F&E Programme, said: “We are delighted to come on board with the Foundation and invest in their Football and Education Programme. As a local business, we are always looking to invest in great causes like this one, providing crucial support to a project which gives young people pathways into both football and further education.

The Foundation’s F&E Programme allows its students to combine their studies with football. Young people earn qualifications in a dedicated educational environment, whilst following playing and training schedules which mirror those of professional footballers.

Craig Farrand, the Foundation’s Head of Sport who is heavily involved in the day-to-day running of F&E, said: “We are always looking to improve the standards of our education and sporting provision, and getting Eldwick Autos on board is a large part of facilitating that. Their investment means that we can continue to give our students the best, and most professional, possible sporting and learning opportunities.”

Eldwick Autos are now a key partner of the F&E Programme, and the Foundation looks forward to a long and successful working relationship.

The Foundation recently spotlighted Summer Paley, an F&E student who balances her commitments with the programme with her duties as part of her commitments to Bradford City Women’s first team. Read more about Summer’s journey here.
