A Comprehensive Solution:

The Wheelchair Service caters to the diverse needs of the community, offering a range of options for individuals requiring temporary or long-term wheelchair usage. Whether it's a short-term injury or a chronic condition, the compassionate team at the Red Cross is readily available to provide support and assistance.

Convenient Timing and Location:

To make accessibility even more convenient, the Wheelchair Service is currently available every Thursday from 11 am to 12:30 pm at the City Hub. This designated time slot ensures that individuals can access the service without interfering with their other ♿

commitments. The City Hub's central location further adds to the accessibility factor, making it easier for community members to benefit from this invaluable resource.

Expert Guidance and Support:

The Red Cross, renowned for its commitment to humanitarian efforts, brings its expertise to the forefront of this service. Their dedicated team of professionals ensures that each individual receives personalised attention and care. Whether it's helping users choose the most suitable wheelchair or providing guidance on maintenance and usage, the Red Cross is committed to empowering individuals with the knowledge and support they need to enhance their mobility.

Promoting Independence and Inclusion:

The introduction of the Wheelchair Service reinforces the foundation's dedication to fostering an inclusive society where everyone has equal opportunities. By providing access to mobility aids, the service enables individuals to lead more independent lives, participate in community activities, and overcome physical barriers that may have previously limited their engagement.

How to Access the Service:

Accessing the Wheelchair Service is simple and straightforward. Go to redcross.org.uk/get-help/hire-a-wheelchair to reserve a wheelchair, or call 0300 456 1914. You will then be given a time slot for collection from the Red Cross pop-up point, in the City Hub, next to the stadium.

Join the Movement:

The launch of the Wheelchair Service marks a significant step towards creating a more inclusive and accessible community. It calls upon community members to support and spread awareness about this invaluable resource. By sharing this information with friends, family, and social networks, we can ensure that those who could benefit from the service are aware of its existence.

The Bradford City Community Foundation, in partnership with the Red Cross, is breaking down barriers and opening doors for individuals with mobility needs. The Wheelchair Service is a testament to their commitment to inclusivity, empowering individuals to lead independent lives and actively participate in the community. As we collectively strive for a more inclusive society, let us embrace this service, promote its availability, and work together to create a world where accessibility knows no boundaries.
