Foundation partners with Her Game Too

Bradford City FC Community Foundation, the official charity of Bradford City AFC, are delighted to announce their partnership with Her Game Too, the national campaign body aimed at combating sexism and misogyny in British sport.

Her Game Too have been partnered with Bradford City AFC since March 2022, when their partnership was similarly announced on International Women's Day. Since then, numerous City stars have come on board as Her Game Too player advocates. The Foundation has now also partnered with the campaign, to further outline its commitment to spreading anti-sexism and misogyny messages across the Bradford community.

Ian Ormondroyd, Foundation CEO and former City striker, said: “These partnerships are crucial to facilitating the work we do in the community, and ensuring we can deliver for the people of Bradford. I am proud to now be officially affiliated with Her Game Too, an organisation which aligns massively with our aims and principles regarding inclusion and anti-discrimination in sport and society as a whole.”

To mark the partnership, the Foundation is inviting local junior girls’ clubs, schools who run girls’ teams, and any other women-centric or women-led organisations to City’s dedicated Her Game Too fixture on Saturday 5th April. Attending organisations will join the Foundation in their dedicated TL Dallas Community Stand, cheering on the Bantams as they drive towards promotion. All eligible organisations will be able to get tickets as part of a two for one promotion, wherein the Foundation will match all orders for tickets.

Dhriti Ahir, BCAFC’s Her Game Too Ambassador, said: “It’s fantastic to now have Her Game Too partnered with the Foundation. The work they do in the community, supporting and engaging not just women and girls, but everyone from all backgrounds, is crucial. Our organisations share both values and aims, and I cannot wait to see where the partnership goes, as we both pledge our commitment to fostering the next generation of female sport and football fans, and making both the sporting and non-sporting world a safe space for women across our community.”

As part of the new partnership, the Foundation will work closely with Her Game Too to share the campaign’s messages, and support women and girls in their engagement with football and sport in general in the city. It plans to welcome campaign representatives into its operation to deliver workshops and other educational interventions to further underline the organisation, and its staff’s, commitment to creating a safe and welcoming space for women across its programmes.

Tickets for the Her Game Too fixture can be purchased here.
