A local business has donated funds to support a Parkinson’s-inclusive walking football project delivered by Bradford City FC Community Foundation, the official charity of Bradford City AFC.
The project engages people with Parkinson’s and other issues affecting their mobility in weekly football coaching sessions, delivered by a team of the Foundation’s coaches.
JB Springs CGR has now donated £1,000 to support the project, and ensure it continues to be free and accessible for all who wish to participate.

Andrei Condoiu, one of the Foundation’s Community Coaches who oversees the Parkinson’s Walking Football project, said: “On behalf of the Foundation, and all of our Parkinson’s Walking Football participants, I would like to thank the team at JB Springs CGR for their generous support. I am incredibly proud of the work we do in providing accessible sporting engagement for people in our city, and our Parkinson’s Walking Football provision has grown significantly in both participation numbers and impact since it started. This donation will enable us to continue to grow the provision, and make a difference in the lives of everyone who attends.”
The Bradford City FC Community Foundation began delivering dedicated walking football sessions for participants with Parkinson’s and other conditions affecting mobility in April 2025.

Now, they regularly welcome over a dozen regular participants at the sessions, which take place every Friday at BEAP Community Partnership, 31 Cornwall Rd, Bradford BD8 7JN, between 11am and 12pm.
The sessions are free of charge for anyone to attend and, thanks to the donation from JB Springs CGR, will remain so for at least the next six months.
Owen Bullock, Production & Logistics Manager at JB Springs CGR, said: “It’s great to see the Foundation providing a place for people with Parkinson’s to enjoy getting involved in sport, socialise and make friends, and access any further support they need. We at Jb Springs CGR are delighted to be able to support their journey, and to ensure that the sessions remain free and accessible for anyone who wants to take part.”

Those interested in further supporting the Parkinson’s Walking Football project can do so, and read all about regular participant Steven Fox, via the Foundation’s One Donate page here.
