Lizzie Saunderson-Trowell has officially begun her tenure as Chief Executive Officer of the Bradford City FC Community Foundation, succeeding Ian Ormondroyd in the role.
Lizzie said: "I am proud to be stepping into the position of CEO, and would firstly like to thank Ian for his hard work and dedication during his time at the head of the Foundation, and for the support and guidance he has offered to me during my time at the organisation. I am excited for what the future holds at the Foundation, and pledge to do everything I can to continue to expand our provisions, to inspire and unite the people of our city, and to make a difference in the lives of everyone we work with. I am proud to have contributed to the Foundation’s growth and expansion in my time here, and I look forward to leading our fantastic team of talented staff into what will surely be a bright and impactful future for the Foundation.”

Lizzie, who has worked with the Foundation for over a decade, leaves her role as Chief Operating Officer in taking the reins of the daily running of the charity.
Ian Ormondroyd, who had been CEO of the Foundation since 1999, said: "I am delighted that Lizzie will be succeeding me as CEO. I have seen first-hand, over her time at the Foundation, the work ethic and commitment she has brought to the positions she has held, and I always knew that she had the capacity to one day lead the whole organisation. I'd like to wish her well, and I look forward to seeing the huge impact she will inevitably have on the Foundation, the people we work with, the difference we make and the city of Bradford."
The Bradford City FC Community Foundation was formed in 1988 by the PFA. Since then, it has evolved into a leading social outreach organisation in the city and wider district. Last year, the Foundation worked with over 36,000 participants across 29 distinct projects.

Lizzie Saunderson-Trowell has overseen the expansion and development of the Foundation in her time with the organisation. This includes its work with the National Citizen Service (NCS) project, wherein the organisation held the contract for NCS delivery across the whole of West Yorkshire, and driving the Foundation to being named third out of all 92 clubs in the annual Capability Code of Practice (CCOP) audit in 2022.
The Foundation works to support people of all ages and backgrounds, and delivers both sporting and non-sporting provisions. These include inclusive, free and accessible football coaching sessions, peer support and community engagement projects, and educational work with schools across the district.
As reported in the EFL and EFL in the Community’s ‘Measuring the Impact of EFL Clubs in the Community’ report, the Bradford City FC Community Foundation generated £12.3 million in social value between 2024-2026, with a £12.50 return on investment for every £1 invested in the Foundation’s work.

I was chatting with a colleague about how important crisp headshots are when you are trying to build a strong personal brand online nowadays. She sent me a link to a digital marketing blog that breaks down how professional portraits can drastically change your visibility on lifestyle apps. They actually referenced the homepage of Housebets Casino to show how contrasting graphics and clean typography catch attention instantly in the UK. Presentation really dictates how people perceive you. Quite similar to my experience with a painter in Birmingham last month. He took my deposit, delayed the work for weeks, and then did a rushed job that looks completely uneven.
