What a Result!

We are delighted to share in the celebrations with our scholars on the completion of their Level 3 BTEC qualifications.

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our second-year scholars this week upon completion of their 2 years studying with us. However, we are delighted that their hard work and commitment has paid off with some amazing levels of individual success.

This success is even more impressive when you consider the added pressure of working through 4 lockdowns. Through zooms and recorded lessons, they have gritted their teeth and ensured that they achieved their maximum potential. They were also subject to additional stress as they were used as exemplar students in a change of location to our new site at the SBSJ Training Ground.

With all of this we are delighted to announce that our students have achieved a 100% completion rate across our Level 3 BTEC Diploma and Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma. Their hard work was reflected in their results with 90% of scholars achieving or surpassing their target grades. Those who did surpass their targets did so by an average of 3 grades and 1 scholar who surpassed their target by 9 whole grades!

The results reflect the hard work and commitment from our second years over both years of study, so seeing them secure their next steps in education, employment or training was a real privilege. We are excited to see the varied pathways that they have secured for their next step of employment, education or training and wish them all the best for it.

Head of FDP Adam Fox said “It’s fantastic to see these results over what’s been a challenging couple of years for our scholars. It’s credit to them all for their hard work and it’s always nice to see that hard work pay off.

We wish those second years leaving us all the best and look forward to tracking their next steps.

A special mention to Ben and the Education staff who I know have worked tirelessly to support the scholars over the last couple of years too.

Well done everyone.”
