CREATE

Get creative and gain some valuable skills

Across two eight-hour sessions in a number of locations, you can personalise the skills you're keen to hone and develop across five core themes. Those themes, and our partners who will be hosting them, are:

  • Media & Production - All Star Entertainment

If you want to try your hand at a range of creative activities, this is the experience for you. They'll be the opportunity to take part in music production, test out your lyric writing and performance skills, become a radio broadcaster or podcast host, or learn how to be a DJ!

  • Sport & Wellbeing - Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation

If you are passionate about sport and curious about what it takes to be a professional athlete, then give this experience a go! You'll get to meet a First Team Coach from a professional club, take part in team building activities, develop your understanding of nutrition and test out your fitness skills.

  • Travel & Culture - Bradford City FC Community Foundation

Do you dream of exploring the world and immersing yourself in different cultures? If it's a yes, then sign up for this experience! You'll try your hand at cooking a European classic, learn how to Bollywood dance, create a Chinese Calligraphy masterpiece and learn how to travel the world whilst giving back to different communities.

  • Life Skills & Money Management - Leeds United Foundation

Looking to buy your first car but don't know where to start with your finances? Unfortunately money does make the world go round, but it doesn't have to be daunting! This session will equip you with the knowledge of how to manage your money and build your confidence around the 'dirty word'!

  • Leadership & Enterprise - Skate it Yourself

Fancy yourself to be the next Apprentice? Learn all about how to set up your own business from a local entrepreneur who started his business journey on NCS. They'll also be some unexpected activities to keep you on your toes, and the chance to take part in a real life Dragon's Den!

Each session will explore how the skills you are learning can be used to have a social impact within the community. We encourage you to consider options to sustain engagement in developing these skills and the volunteering opportunities related to them.

Our CREATE experiences give you the chance to sharpen your skills, and are made accessible through the use of the three sports clubs' facilities, and specialist venues in the form of a skate park and recording studio.
