The Bradford City FC Community Foundation is delighted to announce that it has been nominated for the Charitable Excellence Award year's #YorkshireChoiceAwards, in recognition of its continued social outreach, sports, and community support work from the past year.
Last year, we worked with over 30,000 people, across 29 projects, combining to over 12,000 hours of life-challenging community support and impact work. Guided by former Bantam striker and Foundation CEO Ian Ormondroyd, the Foundation has used the power of the BCAFC badge to support members of our community for almost 30 years.

Lizzie Saunderson-Trowell, Foundation COO, said: "We are made up to have been nominated for the Charitable Excellence Award this year. Being nominated is already recognition of the work our fantastic team does every day in our city. This is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate them, the people on the ground making a difference to those who need support the most."
In the past year alone, the Foundation has supported and engaged people in Bradford across a range of initiatives, including:
Weekly Walking Football, including Parkinson's Walking Football, sessions
An all-new Community Partnership Hub, tackling food poverty
Our weekly Moments Cafe, a dementia and Parkinson's-friendly space, at our City Hub
Our Click & Connect photography exhibition
Our free Community Camp over the summer, with hundreds of young people taking part at no cost
Several campaigns, including our Catch Your Breath anti-youth vaping initiative
The Way Forward, supporting young men aged 18-24 on their journeys towards employment and improved mental and physical wellbeing
Our Smoke and Vape-Free Sidelines tournament
Our weekly SSAFA, the UK Armed Forces Charity, coffee mornings
Our Community Ticket scheme, offering local organisations, including schools and junior sports clubs the chance to cheer on the Bantams for a discounted cost
And plenty more!

Find out all about what we do in our 2024-25 Annual Report here.
We are a small, unified and diligent team who are happy to provide for Bradford seven days a week. Our projects impact young people, through sport or social outreach, in and out of school, the elderly, at our City Hub and moments cafe, and everyone in between.

We invite you to celebrate all we have achieved with us. Were it not for the support of the people of Bradford, the nation, even the world, we would not do what we do.
